Idaho State University to Outsource Identity & Access Management to Fischer International Identity

February 22, 2018. Naples, FL – Fischer International Identity announced today that Idaho State University, a premiere research and teaching institution, has awarded Fischer the contract to manage university-wide identity security requirements in Fischer’s Identity as a Service® Cloud.

Like many institutions, Idaho State was struggling with the necessary IT resources for day-to-day management of their identity solution. The university issued a comprehensive RFP to identify a vendor with experience in higher education, leadership in identity management and governance, and a state of the art data center for hosting and managing identity solutions

Fischer’s full suite of provisioning, access governance, password management and authentication modules will replace the university’s prior vendor solution, integrating with Banner by Ellucian®, Microsoft Active Directory and other systems. “ISU lacked the resources to adequately manage our identity ecosystem,” said Randy Gaines, CIO, at Idaho State University. “Outsourcing our identity infrastructure to Fischer enables us to provide more responsive, robust, and flexible, identity management services.
