HONOLULU, HAWAII – Nov 30, 2015 – Christina “Tippi” Cogen, a former Iraq and Afghanistan Veteran Army Chaplain, entrepreneur, and self proclaimed “public action figure,” is pleased to announce the launch of Thrive Global. Thrive Global is a service-based organization that will change the world by providing mentorship and humanitarian-based, service opportunities for young people and adults.

“We have been revamping the concept, re-organizing our vision, and laying the proper groundwork over the past year to ensure Thrive Global will have much success in the future. Our Indiegogo campaign will help us ensure Thrive Global fulfills the vision the executive board and I have put into place.”

One major aspect of Thrive’s plan is to help bridge the gap between youth and adulthood for young people across the United States. They will match experienced, vetted mentors with young people in communities across the United States. Mentors will come from all walks of life and will be from numerous backgrounds. Aside from creating a life-long relationship with a mentor, young people will also have an incentive to participate in travel across the globe, aiding in a community rebuild or even sustainment efforts. The opportunities are unlimited and they will certainly be paramount in aiding the course of each young person’s growth.

“Young people truly have an opportunity to not only gain the guidance of a valuable mentor,” explains Cogen. “They also have the chance to travel the globe and change lives one community at a time. This is a life altering experience for them and a major part of what Thrive Global is about.”

Additionally, Cogen enthusiastically brings Thrive Gobal her own experience serving in global mission projects to help others obtain the same rewarding benefits. Thrive Global will place volunteers in service-related opportunities, many of which will be in impoverished communities and countries. Through these service-related opportunities, participants will have the opportunity to participate in “Purpose-based Travel.”

Cogen says, “Why not take a trip to an exotic location, enjoy the beautiful scenery, and then help rebuild a community that has been ravaged by an earthquake? One example is our upcoming winter trip to Nepal, where we will be helping one year after they experienced a devastating earthquake.”

Thrive Global launched an Indiegogo campaign on November 16th to help raise money for their exciting mentorship and service-based opportunities. Donors will have the opportunity to change lives across the world with their donations and to help future generations gain stable, positive, and meaningful experiences. These funds will help Thrive Global perform the necessary reconnaissance for opportunities in other parts of the world, like Latin and South America, and will help them begin fulfilling other aspects of their vision of bringing global initiatives to communities and impoverished countries.
