Sherzer & Associates is celebrating their 10th Anniversary, which commemorates 10 years since Jim Allender bought Sherzer Insurance in September 2008 from Marvin Sherzer. The office is still located at its original location at 2305 S Ridgewood Avenue in South Daytona.

Jim Allender notes: “Since buying Sherzer we have grown the agency every year. We have expanded into other markets; we started a West Volusia office in Orange city that we sold in 2016 to business partner Richard Dixon in 2016. That is now called Well Covered Insurance. Also, Sherzer Florida has a second sister location in Cape Coral Florida.”

Jim is actively involved in the community coaching youth sports with his sons Blake age 10 and Will age 7. Jim has further been heavily involved in the Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of commerce where he was the President of leads group 2.

Jim Allender and his team of professionals, all well versed in technology and communication, are keeping up with new and changing insurance programs and added customer demands.

Jim states: “I believe that Volusia Couny is a great place to do business. We are thankful that 85% of our business comes from referrals. We are very fortunate to retain these numbers in a challenging Insurance market such as Florida. We have options for customers as Sherzer Insurance represents many companies, which allows us to provide good coverage for our clients for Home – Auto – Business insurance.”

The owner Jim Allender is excited about the outlook for the next 10 years for Sherzer Insurance with existing markets and relationships to serve their clients insurance needs.

The business situation in Volusia County is getting better and better with expanding companies such as Brown & Brown, Traders Joe’s and NASCAR. Further, new Real Estate developments such as Jimmy Buffets; Margaritaville continue help the area grow and bring new residents to our area that all need insurance products.
