A Facebook post on September 14, 2017, by Dan Bezzant, caught the attention of national news sources. In this post, Dan describes the everyday life of his 7-year-old son Jackson, who suffers from Treacher Collins disease, a congenital disorder characterized by facial deformities. Jackson endures a lot of negative words and discrimination daily because of his looks from his disease. Dan pleads to parents everywhere to take a minute and educate their children about Special Needs Children, and how to be compassionate and loving towards everyone. As a parent, he shared his feelings that “his heart is in pieces and his soul feels like it is ripping from his chest”, as he watches his beautiful son endure so many negative experiences from his peers. It’s truly unfortunate.

Because Jackson looks different, he encounters a constant barrage of derogatory comments and bullying every day from his classmates at school. Kids shove him while shouting the horrific word like “ugly”, “freak”, “monster”, and they throw rocks at him. Jackson says he has no friends and that everyone hates him. At his young age is he has even considered suicide.

Jackson has had many painful surgeries in the past and will face many more in the future to help him manage this incurable disease that can cause problems with breathing, hearing and seeing.

When Trevor Blackburn, Chief Operations Officer of 4Sight Security, found out that Jackson Bezzant lives right here in Idaho Falls, he rallied the 4Sight Security company and everyone in the community to let Jackson know that we support him and that NO child should ever feel the way he does. We want Jackson to know that he is loved and has friends.

To show Jackson our support, Trevor organized a Jackson Bezzant Auto Show Fund-Raiser on October 14th, 2017 from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the Kingston Plaza (old Ernst Building) on W. Broadway in Idaho Falls, which was generously donated for this event by Mike Kingston. After posting this online, the 4Sight Security Facebook page has received numerous donations from all over the US and locally, wanting to help Jackson and show their support for this wonderful cause. The response has been amazing and this event will be much larger than originally planned.

This fund-raiser show has been set up to help the Bezzant family with medical bills and to also send the family of 6 on a trip to Disneyland. For those who would like to help or participate in any way by displaying a car at the show or donate something to be auctioned at a raffle that day, please contact Trevor Blackburn at (208) 881-3510, or visit the 4sight Security Facebook page for more details. They can also fill out the Jackson Bezzant Auto Show Car Registration Form or Jackson Bezzant Auto Show Vendor Registration Form.

4Sight Security will also be making wristbands to hand out to the kids in the Idaho Falls area school districts that say “Buddies, not Bullies” to take a stand against bullying in schools. 4Sight Security has also coined the hashtag #BuddiesNotBullies for social media use. The company is encouraging everyone to share in this great and generous cause.

There is also the option to make a cash donation, which can be done at any Bank of Idaho location in Idaho and give in Jackson Bezzant’s behalf.

Residents are encouraged to come show their support for Jackson on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 as this event will be an amazing day for Jackson and his family. There will be activities for the whole family, food, as well as great looking cars and motorcycles. Best of all, all of the donated items, services, and products will be raffled off.
