KAT Exploration, Inc. Purchases RED HILL Mines New Mexico

MOUNT PEARL, NL / ACCESSWIRE / April 21, 2015 / KAT Exploration, Inc. www.katexploration.com (OTC Pink: KATX) (PINKSHEETS: KATX), is pleased to announce its purchase of the historic RED HILL mines Lordsburg, New Mexico.

There is a stunning amount of tailings that speaks to the massive workings of the mine. The Red Hill Mine is a gold and silver producer so large that the Mining district was named after it. Today it consists of a double compartment shaft that is attached to a large open stope. There are drift levels cut out of the stope and easy access to these levels from within the stope.

The survey team noted a lot of very rich silver and some quartz containing visible gold. They also defined green and purple versions of highly fluorescent fluorite in the lower sections of the stoping.

The veins strikes N77 degrees W, dips 7585 degrees NE, and consists mainly of cerussite, minor anglesite, and a small amount of residual galena, locally argentiferous. Malachite, chrysocolla, smithsonite, sphalerite, and wulfenite were also quite visible.

As one of the last and largest mines in the district, we feel there is good value in those massive tailings. The company will now engage the services of a geological firm to carry out a comprehensive and thorough survey of the tailings to closely determine the true size (tonnage) along with significant sampling to give us an accurate understanding of the grades we will be dealing with.

Further updates will be made available as we proceed with our next phase of work.

This was a large operation. The surveyors had found sorted ores, throughout the many thousands of tons of tailings.

With the closing of the mine in 1950 is was a normal practice for miners to high grade their workings leaving a lot of valuable ore behind and we feel that is the case with the RED HILL mines.
