Leeds, UK – Katie J Redstar is pleased to announce the release of her new book Money is Waiting- Bring In More Clients By Learning Sign Language. With the book, Redstar hopes to break communication barriers and open doors for the “Diff-Abled.” As an aspiring actress and new book author, Redstar is setting the stage for success – Deaf, Blind, and Building a Six Figure Business or as she prefers to say, “She’s not just beating the odds; she’s putting them in a coma!”

Katie J Redstar lost her hearing at the age of three, becoming completely deaf. Just before she turned eight years old, she became one of the first children in Northern England to get a cochlear implant, which while it restored some of her hearing, made her the target of bullies and left her shunned by the deaf community. She faced new bullying throughout her school years, but undeterred she completed seven GSCEs (General Certificates of Secondary Education) by the age of fifteen.

Redstar went on to a series of jobs until negativity and bullying took its toll and she gave up thinking “deaf people can’t achieve things; deaf people can’t work.” After several years living on disability and hopelessness, she was brutally attacked leaving her completely blind in her right eye, but she didn’t give up. She came to the realization she was not disabled, but diff-abled and knew she wanted more. She began volunteering at a local charity and that decision changed her life.

In 2017, she began working with coach Luana Ribeira. Understanding the need to break down communication barriers with sign language, Redstar started her own business, Ignite the Lite which offers coaching and training for individuals and companies who want to embrace the deaf community through sign language. She is currently reaching clients worldwide, in person and online, and will soon reach more with the release of her new book, Sign for Profit, scheduled for release in early 2019.
