Keiser University’s Chancellor Dr. Arthur Keiser Named Chairman of NACIQI

Dr. Arthur Keiser Appointed as Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI), which Oversees College and University Accreditation Agencies throughout the Country

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL / ACCESSWIRE / March 9, 2017 / Keiser University announces that Dr. Arthur Keiser, Chancellor and CEO of Keiser University, has been named Chairman of the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI). NACIQI oversees college and university accreditation agencies throughout the country.

Dr. Keiser, a recognized leader in higher education, has served in various educational capacities for over 40 years in Florida, as well as nationally and internationally. He was a member and is now Chairman of the NACIQI board, having been originally appointed by Secretary Margaret Spellings and reappointed twice by congressional leadership.

“I am honored to serve as the Chair of NACIQI, an organization designed to support and provide oversight of the higher education accreditation community. I’ve seen firsthand the tireless work of NACIQI members committed to providing students and families the information needed to select the best college option for their futures,” said Keiser. “I look forward to my term as Chairman and all we can accomplish together as an organization committed to students,” he added.

During his decades of experience in higher education, Dr. Keiser has always been a champion of students, many of whom are adult learners, seeking a way to reach their educational and professional goals, while working and raising families. Dr. Keiser has given numerous presentations, and published many articles and reports on subjects relating to higher education accountability, accreditation, and accessibility. He earned his doctorate in Higher Education Administration at Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

NACIQI was authorized and reconstituted by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008 and provides recommendations regarding accrediting agencies that monitor the academic quality of postsecondary institutions and educational programs for federal purposes. The Committee complies with all requirements of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and Government in the Sunshine Act.
