Now on their website, the LA Times and author, Sonali Kohli, bring national attention to this growing problem in America with their article “Make Your Kid Watch This Anti-Bullying Video.” With children getting ready to go back to school, this problem needs addressing now more than ever.

According to Kohli’s findings, “About 1 in 5 students ages 12 to 18 nationwide said they were bullied at school in the 2012-13 school year, and 6.9% said they were cyberbullied, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

Kids in the House launched the #EndBullying campaign last year, interviewing children from the Los Angeles area who have experienced bullying, as well as leading bullying experts, to explore how to stop bullying, and to get clear advice on what to do when it happens.

Beyoncé shared the emotional video on her Facebook page to over 65 million fans, saying, “These children are so brave for speaking out and telling their personal stories of being bullied in order to help change the world. The video now has over 1 million views on YouTube.
