Krisana Vigus Debuts Fall 2017 Collection At New York Fashion Week

Orange County-based fashion designer Krisana Vigus debuted her Fall 2017 line at New York Fashion Week on September 9th and 10th. New York Fashion Week is the industry’s most elite event, with the front row of every show reserved exclusively for VIP celebrities. Krisana Vigus added her flair to the NY Fashion Week mix with a new collection centered around sophisticated and multi-layered feminine looks.

Her fall line debut exhibits the “sophisticated feminine” approach showing a sense of sexiness, elegance, comfort, and practicality. Vigus’ inspiration for the long sleeve nude knit is that she wanted it to reflect a sense of comfort and warmth. A mother dropping off her children at school in the brisk fall months a nude knit would be a perfect neutral outfit to wear with anything, exuding coziness and ease.

To create a feminine look with masculine detailing is quintessential to creating a sophisticated and sexy look for the workplace. The collection’s Original Designs include a multicolored jacquard fitted dress with a matching jacket that flatters the waist and hips and can be paired with black slacks for an alternative look.

Krisana Vigus wants her clients to see her dedication to designing well-crafted clothes and comfortable clothes. In collaboration with her fashion line, Krisana Vigus has also launched a skincare line to help women experience the true beauty of life.

September 7th was marked as fitting date for the fashion show. That day, twenty-five models from around the country flew into New York City to be fitted for the pieces they wore as they walked with down the runway.

Vigus stated, “As the designer, I don’t get to watch the runway show because I am assisting my models. I believe my customers, models, and everyone involved in the show are VIPs. I want my models to feel like VIPs. I do this by personally seeing to the comfort of the fitting and by providing my own skincare products to help the models feel beautiful.”

After the fitting, Krisana’s team held a fashion week pre-party where celebrities, models, buyers, media, and personalities from all around the fashion industry got a chance to meet and network. This was also a perfect opportunity to share and learn more about the Krisana Vigus collaboration of fashion and skincare.

As a designer and entrepreneur, Krisana often works 16 hours days. The planning stage for her Fall Fashion collection took 6 months to complete. She notes that she was able to keep her eyes and skin fresh and stay makeup-free using the Eye Serum, Gentle Exfoliant, and Facial Toner from her line. She cares for her models with these products as well.

On September 10, Krisana joined Ms. Sharon Lee Parker for the 9th Annual Celebration of Life and Liberty at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The event was sponsored by Hackensack Meridian Health’s John Theurer Cancer Center. Ms. Parker is the organization’s Director of Patient Experience, Advocacy, and Satisfaction and the author of the book “Look Out Cancer, Here I Come.” To thank the center’s caregivers and honor the cancer survivors, about 4000 cancer survivors and their caregivers attended for free, a reflection of Ms. Parker’s belief that all patients are VIP guests at the hospital and there is no price on life.

Krisana Vigus could not agree more, stating, “I have deep sympathy for patients with cancer and their caregivers because I experienced first-hand the challenge of cancer with my late husband. I was very upset during that time, but were introduced to Dr. Goy, an oncologist at John Theurer. He treated everyone as a guest, not a patient, providing service like a 5-star hotel. Eventually, my husband and I moved back to our hometown in Orange County, California sadly he passed 2 years later. I believe cancer research has come a long way. However, research still needs to continue and advance in hopes that one day our children or grandchildren can have a cancer-free world.”
