Longtime engineer and project manager John Gizowski of La Grange, IL recently launched a new website to showcase his latest products and inventions. The platform also explores Gizowski’s experience in engineering and project management as well as his patents for products and processes.

John Gizowski, engineer and project manager with more than two decades of engineering experience, recently launched a new website to highlight recent inventions, patents, and current and future product developments. Gizowski, who received his Bachelor of Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1995 and his Master of Engineering Management from Northwestern in 2002, has worked in engineering, management, and product development in several corporate facilities, including Permatron, Hussman, and Pentair. Currently a project manager at Xylem, Inc., Gizowski has worked at all stages of product development.
During his career, Gizowski has been known for his hands-on approach to problem solving and emphasis on collaboration and teamwork. While he has been the primary inventor on several inventions, he has also extensively collaborated on products and worked on implementing successful R&D designs at two universities. “My passion,” Gizowski notes, is “for engineering and bringing successful new products to market with cross-functional teams. There is nothing more professionally exhilarating, after all the extreme effort and the process frustrations the team must endure during the creative and logistical launch process.”
The site emphasizes Gizowski’s patents and inventions, including his patents on fluid filter manufacturing apparatuses, orbital vibration welded filters, and laser-welding transmission fluid housing components. In addition, it explores his work in university project management, in which he spearheaded new development processes (at Penn State University and Cleveland State University) to reduce time to completion. When Gizowski is not at work or inventing new products, he enjoys cooking, tinkering in his garage, and spending time on Chicago’s lakefront.
