Lancaster PA is getting a Virtual Reality Gaming Destination- Switch VR LLC

September 20, 2018 – – Switch VR LLC Soon to Open at The Shops @Rockvale.

Switch VR LLC will open a virtual reality arcade in The Shops @Rockvale later this month. The company has already leased 3,100 square feet of space right behind Olive Garden. Players will be able to find it on the eastern edge of the Route 30 shopping center.

Switch VR LLC’s virtual reality arcade will feature 14 stations, wherein players could wear special goggles and enjoy a catalog of around 200 games, all in a virtual reality format. Each station measures 10 by 8 feet, so gamers are free to move around and fully immerse in the virtual environments created by these games.

From action-packed first-person shooters to amazingly detailed travel experiences, to mind-bending puzzles, Switch VR LLC’s virtual reality arcade offers something for everyone.

Customers will be able to rent time in the stations, which are only for one person each. However, there is the option to virtually link up and play together with friends. Switch VR LLC will also feature a pair of party rooms where people can host birthday parties or other events.

The Rise of VR Gaming: How Mainstream Gaming is Evolving

Gamers are not athletes. VR gamers certainly consider themselves exactly that. They even have their own Pro League.

Just when one thinks gaming could not get any more life like, VR comes in. This is the norm for the gaming industry these days. The market currently favors two types of games: those that are extremely simple but highly addictive (think Flappy Bird) and those with super detailed graphics.

It does not get more realistic than seeing sweat on the character while playing the game.

According to experts, virtual reality is the answer, and the gaming industry recognizes that. VR gaming seems to be the next big thing. This is only getting more likely as the years pass. The technology is still being developed, and VR gaming is still evolving year after year. It won’t be long before it hits the mainstream- if it hasnt already.

The new vehicle for games provides new challenges for players to overcome. Seasoned gamers have already mastered the consoles and the PCs, just as they have mastered the joystick and the buttons of the earliest arcade machines. Now gamers are hungry for a new and more immersive experience.

It seems like the next step is to go beyond the visual experience. Video game creators have always been eager to bring players into the worlds they created. VR seems to be just the thing to do that. The world will see how the platform shifts as new technologies are developed.

Right now, the closest thing society has to a “mainstream” VR game is Pokemon Go—but it’s not even a true VR experience, as it is actually an augmented reality game played through the smartphone. And as people know, nearly everyone has a smartphone these days. It won’t be long before VR is accessible to everyone. VR is just waiting to take the market by storm. Enjoy it right now, experts say. Some VR games are already making their mark: Beat Saber, Minecraft VR, Farpoint, EVE: Valkyrie – Warzone, and Project Cars 2.

Local residents of Lancaster PA can look forward to the new virtual reality arcade being offered through Switch VR LLC. Later this September, visit The Shops @Rockvale and get a truly immersive gaming experience.
