Landport Systems recently worked with a worldwide recognized retail brand to successfully convert their facility management software to Spanish to accommodate the retailer’s Mexican market operations

Landport Systems announces the company’s Online Facility Management Software is now offered in Spanish. The company was approached recently by an internationally recognized fashion retailer to discuss creating a Spanish-language version of its proven and effective software. When the initial proposition was made, the retailer was actively using Landport’s services for all 70+ retail store locations throughout Canada and the U.S.

“The Spanish version of Landport is set to be used for all of the retail sites in Mexico and a Portuguese version is set for use in Brazil,” stated Landport representative Jeff Langner. “We reached a mutual agreement with the retailer regarding logistics, cost, and a timeline, which is when we began making the product that would translate Landport’s work order management software into Spanish with intentions to complete a Portuguese translation at a later date.”

The translation efforts were more challenging than many industry critics realize. Additionally, Landport Systems Spanish version is also used by the facilities departments in New York, which is responsible for overseeing the Mexican operations.
