Latest Video Release by Glass Splashbacks UK Makes Art of Templating a Whole Lot Easier

A London based Glass Splashbacks company has recently released the final production from a suite of three instructional videos, that are designed to remove the headache that can so often befall the ardent DIYer when renovating a kitchen or bathroom.

This third video tackles the problem of producing an accurate template, explained Mr Sam Fisher, Co-Director of the company; something that many prefer to leave to a professional.

“Anyone who is a DIY or Home Improvement enthusiast and has furnished their newly renovated kitchen with glass splashback panels will know that there is always a certain amount of trepidation involved in the measuring and ordering process;” said Fisher “especially as toughened glass cannot be resized once it has been through the toughening process, this means that the overall size of the each glass panel has to be measured and then produced with millimeter accuracy.”

“The actual process is quite simple, when you know how;” Fisher continued, “so we thought we would put together a series of videos that explain and simply illustrate the process of measuring; fitting and caring for the glass panels, to provide our customers with the knowledge I’ve gained, first-hand, through carrying out the templating and installation process myself.”

The whole video series is not only very informative but actually really quite entertaining and makes use of some of the latest animation and video scribing techniques.

The recently released third video, which can be viewed here: How To Measure, is actually the first in the series and is a ‘Measuring Guide’. It deals with the art of accurately measuring the wall area to be covered with glass splashbacks as well as precisely locating the electric socket cutouts within the template itself.

The second video is a step-by-step guide through the process of fitting glass splashbacks; which includes everything from the initial checking process to the best way to apply the silicone adhesive.

Finally, the last video in the series deals with the caring process; looking after the glass panels once they have been fitted. Caring for the glass panels is not complicated but, as is demonstrated throughout the video series, more often than not, it is simply a case of knowing how or what to do.

When asked about his choice for using this type of media rather than something that might be easier to follow, especially in a messy environment, Mr Fisher replied

“Many people like to watch video these days, so it seemed like the obvious first choice but, as you’ve pointed out, we are aware that it is also not always easy to pick up everything from one viewing, so we’ve also produced the same material in a handy eBook format that we’re giving away to anyone that wants it. That way,” he added “we’ve hopefully got it all covered.”
