Lawyer Jeffrey Phillips Takes On Watts Wrongful Death Case

November 24, 2015 – – The Phillips Law Group has taken on a new, high profile wrongful death case. The case involves Mikinzie Cassandra Watts, a 25 year old woman who was killed by a school bus that ran a red light. Her father, Robert Farmer, has hired the services of the law firm.

Jeffrey Phillips from Phillips Law says: “Mikinzie Cassandra Watts was driving her Dodge Neon when she was hit by a school bus in Bullhead City. The bus was found to have ran a red light. We are representing her family in this case and will fight to make sure their rights are upheld.”

Ms. Watts’ car was making a left turn when the bus hit her. She was flown to the Las Vegas University Medical Center, but she died later as a result of her injuries. The bus was part of the Kingma Unified School District and was transporting 15 middle school girls to a volleyball game. None of the girls nor the driver were hurt in the incident. The 45 year old driver, Joseph Charles Harris, has been placed on leave pending investigation. The police have confirmed that charges are also pending.

Phillips Law has been at the forefront of a number of high profile wrongful death cases. Focusing on personal injury, the law firm is committed to making sure people who have been hurt through the negligence or actions of others receive the compensation they are entitled to.

“My goal is to make sure that justice always prevails,” says Jeffrey Phillips. “In the case of Ms. Watts, we believe that her death could have been wholly prevented. Due to the negligence of the driver, a young woman has been shot down in the prime of her life, leaving her family grieving. This accident could and should have been prevented.”

Mr. Farmer was not available for comment on the case. However, the community of Bullhead City have come together to pay their respects to the life of a young woman, which has been needlessly taken away.
