On November 11, 2017, Legacy Fit Summerville hosted its 2nd annual Legacy Fit Games at the state-of-the-art facility as a celebration of the gyms anniversary. The number one weight loss center in South Carolina, Legacy Fit has quickly grown a solid reputation as a top notch gym with professional and effective personal trainers.

“The Games give our members an opportunity to spread their wings and show just how far they’ve come,” commented owner and personal trainer, Dominic Mariotti. “While Partner Interval Training® offers friendly competition, to formalize it really shows where someone has effectively progressed and where they might improve.”

PIT® or Partner Interval Training was created by Legacy Fit founder and professional athlete trainer, Manning Sumner. Available exclusively at Legacy Fit and its franchises, PIT pairs member to go through a 20 station, hour long workout together, encouraging one another and promoting camaraderie.

“PIT is an important aspect of our success, both our members’ fitness success and the gyms themselves,” added Mariotti. “Paired with the No Days OFF®Movement, Legacy Fit promotes an overall healthy lifestyle…physically and mentally.”

Written by Sumner in 2012, “No Days OFF” is a lifestyle guide and philosophy that is the basis for Legacy Fit Worldwide.

“It’s a simple philosophy that applies to each and every one of us,” commented Mariotti. “NDO is all about doing the best you can at everything you do. Exercise, your job, raising your family, it doesn’t matter. Never take a day off from being the best you. The Games are a great way for our members to show their progress and how highly effective PIT and No Days OFF are.. In other words, how effective Legacy Fit is.”

Three categories, strength, conditioning and performance, were used for both women and mens divisions where competitors rode, rowed and burpeed their way toward the honor of most fit in Summerville. Each event was restricted to a time limit and fellow gym members and participants were encouraged to cheer the competitors on. Legacy Fit personal trainer, Antoine Barnes and Mariotti oversaw the competition to insure the competitors safety.

“We all know the importance of exercising properly,” said Barnes. “Whether it be in competition, a PIT bootcamp class or a private training session, if you don’t do it right, it won’t do you right.”

Awards were given to the top performers in the three categories combined. Legacy Fit Summerville member, Jennifer Lindsay took the crown in the womens division while Shane Hulon, another bootcamp gym member and private student of Mariotti, dominated the mens division.

“I think everyone had a good time,” a grinning Mariotti concluded. “I know the kids had a blast and it was wonderful to have such a family and community feel to the Games. That is exactly what we wanted.”
