According to recent reports, Shanda Games Limited, a leading developer of online games, filed a Schedule 13E-3 transaction statement with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in order to report a private transaction. Dacheng Law Office partners from China worked with Leodis Matthews, an attorney associated with the firm who works in both China and the United States to facilitate international business transactions. He led the litigation team in advising the shareholders’ rights in relation to the transaction.

As seen on the web at https://leodismatthews.wordpress.com/, this attorney has a long history of success in facilitating international business ventures. He stated, “It is important for any business who completes overseas transactions to have a full understanding of the law in both the target location and the company’s home country. Providing that seamless transition between those two locations is part of what I do as an international attorney.” In this case, he was able to facilitate an important transaction in order to allow an international company to maximize its business potential in both locations. Not only do businesses need to be wery of if what they are doing is within compliance, but the rights that they have in any given situation.
