Lexxic Hosts a New Panel Discussion in Support of Neurodiversity Pride Day
Neurodiversity experts and workplace consultancy, Lexxic, is hosting a panel discussion in support of Neurodiversity Pride Day 2024. This discussion will centre around the concept of intersectionality and its role in inclusive workplace policy.
London, England, United Kingdom – June 19, 2024 —
Lexxic, a specialist psychological consultancy with clients around the globe, and leaders in empowering neurodiversity in the workplace, are proud to be hosting a brand-new panel discussion in support of Neurodiversity Pride Day 2024, focusing on celebrating uniqueness.
Celebrating Uniqueness: Understanding & Empowering Intersectional Neurodiversity Inclusion will take place on Tuesday, 25th June 2024, from 12 – 1:30pm (BST).
Every individual’s experience with neurodiversity is unique, shaped by the different contexts and intersecting identities that make up who they are. The concept of intersectionality highlights how an individual can face compounded discrimination or privilege based on the interplay of their multiple social identities like race, gender, sexuality, class, and more.
Event host Pooja Sudera, (Consulting Business Psychologist at Lexxic), will be joined by panellists including Communications Consultant and DE&I champion Priscilla Koinange, HR Consultant (EDI Specialist) Charlie Hart, Lecturer and Speech & Language Therapist Consultant Warda Farah, and more, to discuss intersectional neurodiversity inclusion. The panel will share their expertise and lived experience of intersectionality to highlight that an intersectional approach reminds us that no two neurodivergent people’s experiences are identical.
Example topics covered in this session include:
- The intersections between neurodiversity, such as cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, mental health, socio-economic status
- Diagnostic disparities
- Stigma and stereotypes
- Removing barriers and changing attitudes
- Advantages to society in working towards an intersectionally inclusive future for all, regardless of label or diagnosis
