As Catalfamo knows first-hand, while it is nice to walk to the store with a little one in the stroller, it can be difficult to find enough room to put the groceries, or carry the bags while pushing the pram back home.

This experience inspired her to create the Little Helper, which can also be used on buggies, 3-wheelers and push cars.

As a spokesperson for the Little Helper noted, the accessory will quickly and easily attach to the vast majority of prams and strollers that are currently on the market. Its compact and generic shape supports its own weight, so it won’t cause the pram/stroller to tip, and the design will allow parents to walk even long distances to the store or public transport without also having to carry their shopping bags.

In order to help pay for the tooling and manufacturing costs associated with creating the first round of the Little Helper, Catalfamo recently launched a fundraiser on Kickstarter. There, she hopes to raise $148,767 through crowdfunding. She also wants to use the funds she raises to help pay for testing to ensure the Little Helper is safe to use.

“Even though there are currently no standards for pram accessories, I want to ensure the product goes through the same rigorous tests that are set by the Australian and European standards. This includes the tilt test and rolling road,” Catalfamo said.
