“I’m so proud of my good friend, Charlotte Peyton. I just finished reading her first book, Along the Garden Path, and it’s awesome. I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. Great job, Charlotte Strack Peyton – Can’t wait for the sequel!!” – Julie Graves, Department Chair at Battlefield High School, Haymarket, Virginia.
Charlotte Peyton teaches English, journalism and photojournalism at Battlefield High School. In addition to helping her students publish a 24-page monthly magazine, she also advises the publication of a 320-page yearbook. Both the news magazine and yearbook have earned multiple awards in the publications arena over the last five years.
Mrs. Peyton was inspired by her students to demonstrate the kinds of pressures kids are under today, but also to show that there are kids who have innate drive, who build caring relationships, support each other, and who will choose to do the right thing when given the chance.
