Los Angeles, United States – July 1, 2018 /PressCable/ —
Booksicals a Los Angeles Children’s Book Store which has a large line of books and are pleased to announce their latest book: The Alphabet Thief. The plot of the book is a thief is stealing words and letters. The rest of the letters ban together to solve the mystery. Booksicals was created by author Susan Tresser who combined her passion for children’s books and musical theater by creating books for kids with musical theater soundtracks.
The importance of learning to read is something that no one will argue with. Reading is the basis for all learning, and young people introduced to reading at an early age are proven to be more successful in life. The very young are especially interested in reading and in books. Booksicals combines the fundamental skills necessary to form the basis for reading with music. The Los Angeles Children’s Audio Book Store helps young children have the opportunity to interact with the book in various ways – from sight reading to acting out the book as part of a classroom project.
“The Alphabet Thief is a departure from the other books we have published to date. This book works with children to learn more than simply to read. Readers also learn there is meaning behind words – the next step to understanding and developing critical reading and thinking skills,” said Susan Tresser of Booksicals.
The Alphabet Thief the Los Angeles Children’s Book is available in regular print and Kindle formats. Plans for an iPad release are in development. A soundtrack to accompany the booksical is also forthcoming. The Alphabet Thief is written by Susan Chodakiewitz and features illustrations by Mosa Tanksley.
Booksicals the formed a successful partnership in 2013 with the international tea and coffee company The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. This resulted in the creation of the picture book Master Davey and the Magic Tea House. In collaboration with CBTL tea master David De Candia, CBTL created the Blue Tiger Tea based on the Blue Tiger character in the book. CBTL held celebrity readings at local stores, schools, orphanages and children’s hospital around the world. The Magic Tea House Experience for kids is a Sensory Reading presentation that Susan performs at elementary and middle schools.
Booksicals also has a growing selection of Spanish books and are available on the same formats as the rest of their inventory. Visit www.booksicals.com to learn more about The Alphabet Thief and the rest of the Booksicals line at http://www.Booksicals.com
