Tallahassee, FL, United States – March 20, 2016 /PressCable/ —
The national “2016 Energy Solutions Conference Simulcast” is a multi-part forum for identifying and facilitating real and lasting energy solutions. It kicks off on March 23-24 with a focus on Renewable Energy & Alternative Fuels. Access will be by computer, mobile device or in person.
Transportation energy use is one of the hot topics to be addressed. It accounts for about 69% of U.S. petroleum consumption. Greater use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicles can reduce oil imports, support the economy, increase energy security and reduce pollutants that impact air quality, climate and public health.
State-based Clean Cities Coalitions work to increase the availability and use of alternative fuels and the infrastructure needed for their wider use. The Coalitions are comprised of businesses, fuel providers, vehicle fleets, state and local governments, and community organizations.
Clean Cities officials will present during the event along with Nissan, General Motors and electric utilities that sponsor electric vehicle (EV) and other alternative fuels programs.
Senior officials of key national organizations and industry leaders will also present a range of energy solutions utilizing the power of renewable energy.
The program includes sessions for business and industry, professional associations, nonprofits, government, community leaders and the public. The online format allows for easily attending any and all sessions of interest.
The event is priced for all budgets – and those who can’t afford to pay can even set their own amount or attend for free, notes conference chair Marcia Elder.
