MedWorker Website Launched to Allow Anonymous Reviews of Hospitals by Workers
April 25, 2017 – – April 2017 saw the release of a new website called “MedWorker,” which allows hospital workers, nurses, and doctors to register an account. After a brief review of their credentials, the users are then allowed to submit an anonymous review of a hospitalist program, emergency department, or nursing department.
Users can grade the hospital based on their work experience and a variety of factors including salary, management, working hours, overtime work, and more. In turn, hospitals will be allowed to create a profile and respond to any negative reviews.
MedWorker describes its mission in the following way:
“We have to work together and support each other, or patient care will be compromised. We all know how stressful it is to work in a hospital. The demands of administrators, managers, patients, and of ourselves are enormous. We make life and death decisions many times a day. It adds up on our bodies, minds, and souls.
“We need a voice. We want everyone to know the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
Hospitals can also benefit by monitoring analytics attached to their profile, and even potentially hire new workers based on job postings. As the website grows, the website founders hope that with the help of feedback from all sides, the working environment in hospitals will change for the better.
The website is now officially live and users are encouraged to create their free account.
Those who are interested in following MedWorker can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
