Michigan Man Hospitalized In E-Cig Explosion, As Potential E-Cigarette Lawsuit Cases Arise

July 15, 2016 – – Marc Freund of LipsigLawyers.com referenced a recent e-cigarette explosion in Bay City, Michigan, when outlining the potential dangers that e-cigarettes may present to users. Freund wishes the local Michigan man a speedy, complete recovery, and has encouraged the man to seek legal counsel regarding his damages. A local news report from Mlive.com outlined the July 2nd explosion, explaining that a local man was having dinner at a nearby restaurant when his e-cigarette unexpectedly exploded in his pocket. The man sustained severe burns to his right leg, and was in extreme pain in the moments following the accident, thankfully witnesses contacted 911. The man was transported to McLaren Bay Region Hospital by ambulance shortly after the incident for treatment, where hospital staff would not comment on the severity of the man’s injuries.

This is certainly not the first e-cigarette explosion to date, and regrettably, will probably not be the last incident of this nature.
