Mile High SHRM is delighted to announce their annual conference for HR professionals based in Denver on January 31st.

January 7, 2020 / /

Mile High SHRM welcomes guests to its annual conference, one of the largest HR conferences in Colorado. Each year the conference is a highlight for many HR companies in the region and this year is the 17th anniversary of the event. The title, What Lies Ahead – Navigating the Future of HR, indicates the theme for this year’s conference and will respond to the concern many companies have within the industry about HR implementation in the modern, technological age.

The motto, Engage. Educate. Empower., is absolutely central to the Mile High SHRM conference and a number of speakers will join the conference this year to share their ideas and educate other professionals. Indeed, this year, the Mile High SHRM conference is delighted to announce that there will be 2 keynote speakers, one for the morning session and one for the afternoon.

The first keynote speaker is Tracy Butz, who has 20 years of speaking experience and is a prolific and best-selling author. Her morning keynote speech will discuss how to navigate change within business and aim for a positive future, not simply avoiding negative consequences. The afternoon keynote speech will be delivered by Kevin Hughes, an author, speaker, consultant, executive coach, and an internationally recognized expert on how work is evolving. His talk will focus on engagement, well-being and happiness at work and how to build a better workplace culture using a proven method for culture change.

Former Denver Bronco, Reggie Rivers will be providing an early speaker session and will discuss the subtle yet important distinction between ‘leadership’ and ‘authority’ and how ‘influence’ should be used, drawing on his experience as a professional NFL player. Other talks will include subjects such as: Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity, legal changes, the effect of immigration changes under Trump’s administration, budgeting leadership programs and measuring the impact of training.

The whole conference is sure to be a great day with plenty of food for thought. As well as speakers, the exhibition space will be open throughout the day, giving attendees the chance to develop new business connections and discover a showcase of the newest innovations in HR solutions and services. Registration opens at 7am.
