Mission Ready to Launch Next Generation Body Armor
VANCOUVER, BC/ ACCESSWIRE / April 23 2015 / Mission Ready Services Inc. (TSX-V: MRS) – Mission Ready Services Inc. (“MRS” or the “Company”) is pleased to provide an update on the advancement of its Next Generation Body Armor System currently in the final stages of prototyping and user evaluations.
MRS has been a close and trusted partner of the US Army in the development of a new upper extremity system and both have been heavily involved in the concept and design of the item. MRS built 36 units for the first user evaluations in May 2014 which due to overwhelming approval ratings resulted in the Army elevating the program to department level II testing. Taking user feedback and the Army’s guidance the Company built an additional 100 units for second and third user evaluations conducted in early 2015.
Users have commented on the athleticism and greater mobility of the system when compared to current standard issue protective garments such as the Improved Outer Tactical Vest deltoids, neck, yoke & collar and upper back. The new system integrates all of these modular items into a single upper extremity system and is lighter than the combined total of the current modular items while providing greater protection. User comments so far have been very positive and MRS continues the goal to increase/improve a soldiers performance and the Company believes that this system does that better than anything available today. The Company is systematically looking at future improvements of the system to meet certain mission or user unique requirements.
In a News Release dated August 12, 2014, Mission Ready announced the filing of a patent application with the US Patent Office as well as an international filing under the Patent Cooperation Treaty for its Integrated Body Armor Garment.
