Missionary Brett Mitchell Embarks on a New Journey to Build Churches in the Philippines

Mitchell and his Wife, Ingrid, are Bringing Churches to Remote Villages

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 21, 2016 / Brett Mitchell, a Michigan-born missionary currently stationed in the Philippines, recently announced his decision to begin building churches in the country. The couple is focusing on bringing churches to remote villages, especially where there is no existing church or where the closest church is too far to reach.

To bring their dream to the next level, Mitchell and his wife, Ingrid, have decided to purchase a new Mission Truck. According to Mitchell, missionary work means that him and his wife need to get anywhere at any time. This could mean driving through riverbeds, along the side of a mountain, or through a landslide, plus typhoons and earthquakes are also quite common in the Philippines.

The family is considering purchasing a Mahindra Enforcer. In addition to being a cost effective vehicle, it is also a powerful 2.5 turbo Diesel 4×4. It is simple, easy to fix, and is also the official police truck of the Philippines.

Mitchell is currently seeking donations to help purchase the vehicle, a key component in him continuing his missionary and search and relief work. The couple has taken their campaign to Generosity, where users can send in donations of any amount.

“The SUV that I have now has served us well, but it is too much work and money for me to keep repairing it,” said Mitchell. “Also, now that my wife is having a baby I need a vehicle that I can count on to keep my family safe and not leave us stranded somewhere. The new truck will help maximize our work in missionary as well as relief and rescue work.”
