The event took place in the Ellie Caulkins Opera House at the Denver Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Denver.
Proceeds from the Charity Casino Night will benefit Denver non-profit organization Higher Ground Youth Challenge. This year, the charitable program is celebrating its 20-year anniversary serving at-risk youth living in the Denver area.
Higher Ground Youth Challenge is dedicated to serving teenagers ages 13 to 16 who are living in challenging situations and/or unfortunate circumstances by providing them “with a chance to do more than dream.” The program allows participants to attend a week-long camp that takes place in the Colorado mountains, and to be involved in an on-going program that provides encouragement from a mentor.
“I chose to support the SullivanHayes Charity Casino Night because I knew that my sponsorship would provide funds to a very worthy cause. Higher Ground Youth Challenge helps so many in-need kids, and I know the program makes a positive impact on the lives of many deserving young people,” says Mr. Ruedy.
The exceptional entertainment provided to attendees of the Casino Night included live music from the Hazel Miller Band, food from Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House, fun gambling tables for blackjack, craps, poker, and roulette, and a chance to win several prizes such as tickets to a Denver Broncos game, flying lessons, spa treatments, and more.
“The Casino Night fundraiser was a win-win for everyone involved. Not only did it provide a fun night for everyone who attended and donated money, but it also resulted in a large monetary donation to Higher Ground Youth Challenge.
