Venice, Florida – January 6, 2018 /MarketersMedia/ —
The AIF 2016 State of the Vacation Timeshare Industry report shows the industry experienced strong growth during the 2015 calendar year. Sales volume rose by approximately nine percent up to $8.6 billion. In 2014, the sales volume was $7.9 billion, thus this growth accounted for the second largest increase, in terms of percentages, since the country underwent a recession. Over the past five years, the timeshare industry sales volume has grown by more than 33 percent. However, some individuals who purchased a timeshare now realize doing so was a mistake and find they need an attorney in resolving the matter.
“Many individuals find they can no longer afford the timeshare and are having a difficult time selling it. They are unable to find a legitimate buyer, find they fall victim to a scam when trying to sell or encounter other issues. In the event selling the timeshare has become more of a hassle than the owner expected, it is time to contact a timeshare attorney for assistance. There may be a way to get out of the contract at very little cost,” Susan M. Budowski, founder of My Timeshare Attorney (mytimeshareattorney.lawyer), explains.
Timeshare representatives often don’t share the material facts with potential buyers. In addition, they frequently neglect to share information that could lead to the potential buyer walking away from the deal. For example, the sales representative may fail to accurately disclose the maintenance fees associated with the timeshare and neglect to alert the buyer to the fact they will increase over the years.
“Anyone who believes they have fallen victim to a timeshare representative should seek legal advice immediately. Fraud, coercion and misrepresentation are common in the industry, which has led to the need for attorneys specializing in this field. Contact My Timeshare Attorney today to make an appointment. We only take those cases where we feel we can be of help to the client,” Budowski continues.
During the cooling off or rescission period of the contract, a buyer may leave the deal with no repercussions, yet many individuals fail to realize this. Nevertheless, this period is very limited and the buyer must act quickly. Doing so renders the contract null and void and allows the buyer to receive his or her deposit back. Individuals need to be aware of this period and ensure it does not pass before they take action.
“Contact our office today. We are here to help you resolve your timeshare issue in a timely matter. We work with clients to find a financial arrangement they can afford as they work to get out from under their timeshare. We may be able to help with regard to your timeshare purchase before it’s too late,” Budowski states.
