Nate Mell, Felt+Fat Founder and CEO, Launches Diverse New Blog on His Personal Website

Founder and CEO of the ceramic design company, Felt+Fat, is pleased to announce the launch of the latest addition to his personal website, a diverse new blog.

Philadelphia, PA – March 4, 2021 /MarketersMedia/

Nathaniel Mell, founder and CEO of Felt+Fat, a ceramic design and manufacturing studio serving both professional and at-home chefs, adds an exciting new twist to his personal website. Mell launches a new blog through his individual online platform that will focus on the entrepreneur’s expertise within the pottery and ceramics industry, his leadership as the CEO of Felt+Fat, his local Philadelphia community, as well as his hobbies and interests.

Seven years ago, Mell started Felt+Fat in Philadelphia and his studio in the Pennsylvania city’s Kensington neighborhood. Before life at Felt+Fat, Mell graduated from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. The recent art graduate then went to work at the world-renown Philadelphia Clay Studio.

In his blog, Mell plans to reflect on his days before his ceramic design career when he acquired experience and skills while working with a variety of media, including glass, metal, wood, and mold-making. He also wants to use his blog as a tool to give insights and suggestions to other aspiring entrepreneurs by sharing his own experiences during the beginning stages of Felt+Fat.

Mell took a deeper dive into exploring ceramic design when the opportunity came to design a unique and aesthetically pleasing line of plates for ‘High Street on Market,’ Eli Kulp’s award-winning restaurant. While taking on this creative journey, Mell developed the idea to build a ceramic design studio that catered to the hospitality industry, which bloomed into Felt+Fat.

The public eye considers Mell a successful entrepreneur as his business, Felt+Fat, has built a history working with over a hundred restaurants from all around the world. While working with these restaurants, Felt+Fat produces an average of more than 30,000 pieces in a single year. Both the New York Times and the Forbes 30 under 30 list featured the ceramic design organization in their past publications. Such publications highlight the core values of the growing team at Felt+Fat, including timeless design, ethical manufacturing, and intentionality toward relationships.

“I look forward to being able to reflect on my experiences and journey as an entrepreneur in Philadelphia, as well as my other hobbies and interests such as gardening, cooking, and hiking with my partner Katherine and our dog Potato. I hope that my blog will maybe help those who tune in from my community and outside of it to pursue a life fulfilled with doing the things that they love most,” said Nate Mell.
