An admirer of dolls houses and miniature scenes, Rose Wood is launching her brand new dolls house and miniatures journal/notebook. “My Dolls House Journal” is available now through Amazon and is set to be treasured by dolls house owners and small scale miniature modellers alike.
More information on the book can be found here: http://www.rosewoodwrites.co.uk/journals/dollshouse
This is the first dolls house journal/diary/notebook Wood has created. Its aim is to encourage dolls house owners to record their design ideas, notes and makeover plans for their own miniature projects.
My Dolls House Journal provides space and prompts to record details about lighting, decorating, furnishing, figures, accessories and more. Includes graph paper to draw plans, an A-Z index for suppliers’ contact information and a special ‘Wish List’ section for all those hoped-for items that will transform any dolls house into a dream miniature residence.
When asked about why she created the book, Wood said: “I’ve always kept diaries/journals and love that sense of anticipation and excitement at having a special place to record thoughts, wishes and ideas, particularly when it comes to hobbies and crafts. For me, owning a dolls house has been a childhood dream come true and having a journal makes a wonderful companion and keepsake in its own right. With a dolls house, every proud owner has the opportunity to create something entirely personal and unique, so I wanted the format to be both useful and inspiring – a mix of prompts and space to write freely.”
Wood has hopes that the book will encourage other dolls house owners, small scale modellers and miniatures enthusiasts to write about and cherish their own unique treasures.
