Tradesmen who are unable to work due to injury can now recover the cost of their income from day one of an accident, thanks to a new insurance policy which launches on Monday 17th August.

Earlier today, Income Assured announced the launch of Tradesman Insurance, its new income protection insurance policy which covers income from the very first day that a tradesman is injured or falls ill. For anyone who works in a job where accidents are common this launch will be worth paying attention to, as it’s set to shake things up.

Currently, with even a passing glance, a person will notice other companies only offer income protection payouts when the policy holder has been out of work for several weeks. The Managing Director at Income Assured, Peter Preston, makes a point of saying “things are going to change when Tradesman Insurance launches”.

Peter Preston continues, “Where you’ll always see our competitors doing the same old thing, we will offer cover from day one, meaning payments can be received from the date of the accident if it results in time off work. We do this because we believe it’s pointless to wait weeks for payouts because the worker may have recovered by that time. A worker needs to know their income will continue from day one. Ultimately this is going to be a huge benefit to our customers because they can continue to pay their bills and maintain a good standard of living for themselves and their family despite not being able to work.”

Income Assured was established in 2011. It has been doing business for 4 years and aims to become the leading supplier of income protection insurance for tradesmen whether they are employed by a company of self employed as a contactor.

Currently, the closest thing to Tradesman Insurance is a policy which only pays out when a tradesman has been off work for several weeks, but Tradesman Insurance will improve on this by ensuring that policy holders receive an income from the day they are injured or become sick. This alone is predicted to make Income Assured’s new insurance policy particularly popular with anyone working in trades such as builders, roofers, plumbers and carpenters.

Once again, Tradesman Insurance is set to launch Friday 14th August. To find out more, the place to visit is http://www.income-assured.co.uk/long-term-cover/
