“One of the best books I’ve ever read!” gushes critic.

Airline pilot, author and Airways Magazine Columnist Eric Auxier is making waves in the literary world again with his brand new book, “Code Name: Dodger Mission 4—Yakuza Dynasty.” The fourth and final book of the wildly popular “Code Name: Dodger” series, the book is set to go live, available through Amazon, and is expected to become a big hit with fans of the young adult, spy thriller, and aviation worlds.

More information on the book can be found here: http://amazon.com/dp/1535205032

Even before publishing, the book sent ripples through the literary world, with enthusiastic endorsements such as this from Online Book Club’s official review: “4/4 STARS—One of the best books I’ve ever read! More twists and turns than many mysteries. Amazing that this level of action, intrigue and humor could last an entire book. Absolutely in the same league as the Harry Potter series!” The full review can be found Here.

This is the eighth book Auxier has authored, and fourth in the Code Name: Dodger series. (Each “Mission” in the series is episodic, and can be read in any order.) The book was written to entertain spy and aviation enthusiasts alike, as well as fans of the Code Name: Dodger series who have come to love the main character, streetwise New York teen orphan Justin Reed. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because it will be the final book in the series, and promises to answer many questions readers have had throughout the series—and even reveals several shocking secrets from Justin’s past. Lost in Asia and inexplicably pursued by Korean and Japanese gangsters, Justin uncovers a secret from his past so shocking that not even his CIA training can prepare him. Readers will likely find particular interest in young Justin’s internal battles as he faces his most formidable foe yet: himself. The book’s cover art was created by the author, and Yakuza Dynasty is being released by EALiterary Press.

Eric Auxier has a background in both aviation and writing. He is a Captain for a major U.S. Airline, a columnist for Airways Magazine, which is published in over 60 countries worldwide, a popular blogger (capnaux.com) and lifetime freelance writer. This helped shaped the creation of the book by his love of both espionage tales and aviation, as well as a lifelong fascination with Japanese culture and history.

When asked about why he wrote the book, Auxier said: “Justin Reed is my favorite fictional character, sort of a ‘bad boy’ alter ego for me since I created him at the age of 14.” Auxier adds with a wink, “Coincidentally, or not, Justin Reed is 14 as well.” Auxier went on to say that he sees Justin’s character as a modern, teen version of John D. McDonald’s complex, classic and beloved character, Travis McGee.

Auxier has hopes that the book will satisfy Code Name: Dodger fans by wrapping up the series in a very surprising, unexpected and satisfying way. This positive outlook from the author is certainly testament to his optimism considering some of the mishaps during its creation. At one point, the author had completed both the beginning and ending of the book, but was at a loss for what happened in the middle. Auxier explained, “After having written seven previous books, I knew that I needed to simply put the story in the drawer and let it gel in the back of my head for a couple of months.” Sure enough, one night at 3am, the author awoke with the rest of the story clamoring to get out. Another 100 pages later, and the book was finished.

In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking several fellow authors and editors for their advice in shaping the novel: Mrs. Karlene Petitt, Mr. Jeffrey Roehr, Mrs. Patricia Rock, and Mrs. Debra Lawrence. The author particularly thanked EALiterary Manager and girlfriend Ms. Mary Ann Laverty for her help and advice.
