Lucidchart’s Free OmniGraffle Viewer Allows Mac, Windows, and Linux Users to View OmniGraffle Files Instantly on the Web

SOUTH JORDAN, UT / ACCESSWIRE / March 17, 2015 / Lucid Software, which is best known for creating the diagramming application Lucidchart, is pleased to announce the launch of a free OmniGraffle Pro viewer for OmniGraffle (.graffle) files. The viewer operates in the cloud, meaning that users on any operating system can enjoy its benefits. The extension will allow these users to open, view, and edit OmniGraffle templates and files, all without an OmniGraffle license.

The new viewer is a browser extension for Google Chrome; a similar extension for FireFox will be made available in the near future. It enables users to open OmniGraffle (.graffle) files that are stored on their local machine, have been posted online or are attached to an email. No subscription is necessary to use the extension.

The OmniGraffle (.graffle) viewer is designed to offer maximum convenience and flexibility. Anyone can now open a .graffle file on their local machine by dragging it into their browser window. Those with Gmail accounts will be able to open .graffle files directly in Gmail by right-clicking the attachment and selecting “Open in Lucidchart.” The viewer uses the same process to open online OmniGraffle documents outside of Gmail; simply right-click the file hyperlink to see its contents. These capabilities extend to files created in both OmniGraffle 6 and OmniGraffle Pro 6. In addition, the viewer is cross-platform, which means that users can just as easily view diagrams on their phones and tablets as they can on their laptops.
