Normetals is celebrating their 33rd Anniversary, which commemorates 33 challenging and very rewarding years in business. This is a huge milestone for the Adelaide-based steel supplies and recycling business, which has provided services to businesses who require high quality steel products such as fencing, construction and sheds. since 1984.

Normetals got it’s start in 1984 when founder Bruce saw the opportunity to supply high quality steel products to Adelaide and recycle metal at the same time.

One of the earliest challenges Normetals faced was brand awareness.

While every business of course faces challenges, some, like Normetals are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. One such victory came when they were able to set up enough skips and cover Adelaide to collect scrap metal.

Bruce, owner at Normetals was also quoted when discussing another big win. “One of the high points of Normetals’s history was when we launched our DIY sheds and cubby house products, this is a popular product and made a huge difference in our business. They added another dimension to what we are able to offer, and was well received by Adelaide. And we were even featured in a local renovations magazine, which boosted our brand awareness.”
