Passionate Photographer Announces Touching, Inspiring Book of Photography
A black and white photographic art book that celebrates the triumph of the human spirit
MANILA, Philippines – September 28, 2015 – Passionate photographer Kurt Kamka, recently announced a touching book of photography called, “Hey Joe!” It’s a black and white photographic art book that celebrates the triumph of the human spirit found in the barrios of metro Manila, Philippines. For the past four years, he lived in Manila, walking thousands of miles of city streets in an attempt to connect with and photograph the people living in the city’s barrios. This project is a culmination of that journey.
Despite headwinds of occupation, poverty, political corruption and natural disasters that have plagued the Philippines for generations, Filipinos display an insurmountable mix of humor. They also display compassion and friendliness that makes its way into their daily interactions with their family members, neighbors and, of course, complete strangers. This book will illustrate this incredible attitude.
With help, it is time to finish the project and bring it all together in a photo book that best represents that experience. The “Hey Joe!” book is a way to demonstrate that all lives matter, even those that are often overlooked in densely populated and economically depressed neighborhoods. Mostly, life goes on and is fully lived everywhere. However, before this incredibly moving book can be completed, Kurt needs help. That’s why he launched this Kickstarter campaign. The goal of this project is to raise $24,000 by October 25, 2015. The funds raised will go towards laying out the book as well as printing it.

Please keep in mind this is an “all-or-nothing” deal, which means if the campaign does not reach the funding goal then the project cannot move forward. So know that any amount given can make a difference, and this is an incredible opportunity to be a part of a special campaign! Help Kurt Kamka reach the goal by sharing this on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. The more people know about this, the more support the campaign will receive.
