PEACEARTHOPE’s Debut Album Releases

PEACEARTHOPE’s (pronounced peace, earth, hope) Speed of Sound has been released for worldwide distribution by the European label, Sublime Exile Recordings, http://www.subexile.dk. On March 28th the album arrived and is now available for download on the label website, http://www.subexile.dk, or streaming on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, and Deezer. 

Based out of LA, Sam Ortolano’s solo album, Speed of Sound, is part of PEACEARTHOPE’s World Music project. The subsequent 10-song recording spawned out of isolation caused by the pandemic. 

“PEACEARTHOPE came to life when the world shut down. With an abundance of alone time at my disposal, it was an unforeseen chance to push away distractions. PEACEARTHOPE embodies the spirit of coming together, sharing each moment with those closest to your heart, and finding joy in the simplest things.”

Each song in the collection is stripped down to its acoustic core, with an emphasis placed on the composition over technology, or in other words, the heart and soul over the material world.

“I took the opportunity to jettison lesser musical and non-musical obligations in order to concentrate solely on my lifelong love of making music. My goal is to create music that inspires listeners to think outside the box, to never settle for the norm, and to take an active role in their community.”

As a debut release, Speed of Sound features Afro-Cuban, Middle Eastern, Indian, and Latin beats, with beautiful melodies, well-thought-out compositions, and complex rhythmic arrangements. 

Sam/PEACEARTHOPE will be performing a number of the compositions on June 4, 2022, at the Power of Strings – A Night of Music and Fashion at Sofitel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills. Tickets are available at http://www.powerofstrings.info.
