The lawsuit states that he and other workers were directed to move a 42-foot-high metal shoring tower by using a forklift, rather than properly dismantling the tower as specified by the tower manufacturer. When the tower collapsed,the man was struck and pinned beneath the tower, and was severely injured, the article said.

These types of accidents in addition to electrocution and being stuck between objects or struck by them, accounted for over half of construction worker deaths in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
