Phaze Concrete Quashes Widespread Construction Sector Myths
Experts from Phaze Concrete extinguish three of the construction sector's most widespread misconceptions.
CEDAR CITY, UT / ACCESSWIRE / October 23, 2020 / Like many industries, the construction sector is the focus of a number of widespread and long-standing myths and misconceptions. A specialist concrete company based in Cedar City, Utah, Phaze Concrete delves into three such myths to help the public better understand the wider building industry and assist in separating truth from fiction when it comes to some of the most common construction sector misconceptions.
The first misconception to be quashed by Phaze Concrete is the myth that construction is bad for the environment. "While this may have been the case in years gone by, more recently, the construction sector has invested heavily in eco-friendly endeavors," reveals a Phaze Concrete spokesperson. The huge emphasis, they say, is now placed on the so-called 'green' building.
"The overwhelming majority of companies now place massive importance on 'green' construction," adds Phaze Concrete's representative, quashing the first of three myths, "particularly in North America and Europe, as well as elsewhere around the world."
Next, Phaze Concrete turns to the belief that construction isn't an industry for college graduates. "There are countless opportunities within construction for individuals with college degrees," says Phaze Concrete, "so, this myth is, again, utterly false."
While for many roles, a degree isn't necessary, for others, Phaze Concrete says, it's a huge bonus. "For someone wishing to become a project manager, a college degree is always a bonus," they add, "and many graduates continue to find that the construction sector boasts a genuine wealth of fantastic and often lifelong career opportunities which are both highly rewarding and extremely lucrative."
Finally, Phaze Concrete responds to the opinion that women don't work in construction. "Once more, this just isn't true!" says Phaze Concrete. "While as an industry, construction is still largely male-dominated," they go on, "a huge number of women now work in the sector in a wide variety of roles which, again, are often highly rewarding and very lucrative."
Indeed, more than 300,000 women are now employed in the construction industry in the U.S. based on the latest figures – a number that Phaze Concrete says continues to rise each year.
Phaze Concrete is based in Iron County, Utah, and is best known for its tilt-up construction and concrete flatwork in distribution centers, warehouses, public schools, hotels, hospitals, and custom homes, and for its work on concrete parking lots and other unique multi-level structures. The Utah concrete company is also recognized for its completion of a $2.4 million contract at Spaceport America's terminal hanger facility, the world's first purpose-built facility of its kind, in Sierra County, New Mexico.
Founded in 2003 and starting exclusively with local contracts in Utah and neighboring Nevada, Phaze Concrete is now a national leader in delivering quality concrete to the construction industry with over 15 years of experience. From proposals spanning less than 10,000 square feet to those covering closer to a million, Phaze Concrete's vast experience in concrete placement and the company's famous 'can do' attitude have won Phaze not just countless loyal clients, but have also facilitated the Cedar City-based business in helping, again and again, to ensure that even the most challenging projects remain right on schedule across the board.
