Plaintiff Filing Xarelto Lawsuit Alleges Defendants Used Misleading Advertisements For Blood Thinner

March 14, 2016 – – BloodThinnerHelp.com reports on a lawsuit which has been filed against Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Pharmaceuticals, and Bayer AG; both manufacturers of new-generation, blood-thinning drug Xarelto. The lawsuit filed discusses what the plaintiff believes are misleading marketing tactics used by the manufacturers to sell their drug. Many plaintiffs from across the nation have stepped forward stating much the same, and more. Xarelto has quickly become the subject of more than 2,800 federally-filed lawsuits and over 600 other lawsuits which form a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania mass tort group. Cases filed federally have been consolidated by the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to form MDL No. 2592 in Eastern Louisiana.

An overview of Xarelto’s ads show glowing endorsements from popular celebrities, well-known names, and athletes, including Brian Vickers (NASCAR), Chris Bosh (Miami Heat), Kevin Nealon (SNL), and Arnold Palmer (a golf legend). In each of the Xarelto TV commercials, these celebrities discuss the blood thinner and its many benefits, however, according to the plaintiff filing this lawsuit, they fail to adequately address what many consumers today have come to consider dangerous health risks of the drug.

Xarelto has also been closely monitored by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration since its 2011 approval. The anticoagulant has been given two ‘black box’ warnings by the organization. These black box warnings are the most severe and notable warnings a product can receive before being completely removed from the market for public sale.

As thousands of Xarelto lawsuit plaintiffs await trial dates, many involved believe that other lawsuits will continue to join the current MDL. As this occurs, Attorney Joseph Osborne is working to assist everyone who believes their health has been negatively impacted by the blood thinner. He wishes to ensure these patients will be provided the important opportunity of fully investigating their legal rights in the matter. Those affected may be entitled to legal action and substantial compensation. Attorney Osborne is currently offering free legal consultations for affected parties.
