Whittier, CA – January 31, 2017 /MarketersMedia/ —
Rasmussen Gas Logs & Grills recently announced that the company is celebrating their 110-year anniversary. Started in 1907 by Danish immigrant Rasmus Rasmussen, the family-owned business has thrived for four generations of Rasmussens running their Whitter, California shop.
“In a world where businesses often struggle to survive, our family is so proud to be celebrating 110 years of serving customers. A lot has changed over the years as we’ve gone from manufacturing everything from truck parts, to steel buildings, to welding rod holders used for building WWII war ships, to making fireplaces and fancy screens. Now, we’ve evolved into a company known for its innovation in gas logs, heaters, and infrared grills. We’re extremely grateful for the longevity we’ve had in this industry and can truly say that we’ve enjoyed it every step of the way,” said Rett Rasmussen of Rasmussen Gas Logs & Grills.
Rasmussen’s journey toward innovation in gas log technology began in 1958, when Rasmus’ grandson, T.R., developed the sand pan burner, which provided the most realistic wood flame available in a gas log set at the time. Unable to find a manufacturer to make logs for him, T.R. created his own molding technique; using real wood logs as patterns, he developed a method capable of reproducing the smallest bark detail in the finest refractory materials available.
These industry-first innovations continue to live on today and can be seen in the company’s Chillbuster line of gas log heaters, ALTERNA Contemporary Gas Fires (FireBalls, FireShapes, and FireStones) and the Solaire Infrared Grills. Recently, Rasmussen added a line of stylish Bromic Radiant Patio Heaters as a complement to their infrared grills.
As Rasmussen continued, “While our business may have changed a lot over the years, there are a few elements that have remained the same. Since the beginning, our company has been committed to quality craftsmanship, tremendous value, and industry leadership through innovation. The Spirit of the Blacksmith, which is the ultimate spirit of innovation, combined with our necessity, practicality, and functionality, lives on at Rasmussen. We are proud of our rich history and excited about what the future holds for us.”
