As the spokesperson noted, Groomes got his start in the military, where he served as a Korean linguist from 2002 to 2004, and he was a decorated combat Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division from 2004 to 2007. In 2005, Groomes was deployed to Afghanistan, where he was involved with Operation Red Wings II, and he worked security for President George W. Bush in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2006.

“In 2009, soon after leaving the military, Shaun discovered how to license products and bring them from conceptual ideas to the marketplace,” the spokesperson noted, adding that after driving sales to those products on Google Adwords, Groomes soon found his calling in direct response marketing.
