Sheonty Sultan, Business Leader, Offers Assistance For Palliative Care Center of TSI
Sheonty Sultan is actively involved in the charity organization, Touching Souls International. The organization has opened a satellite palliative care site in Bikrampur, Bangladesh.

Sheonty Sultan has added her support in promoting charity work for Touching Souls International. The organization officially began their Palliative Care Center in Bikrampur, Bangladesh. The first TSI Palliative Care Center satellite care site is now working in co-operation with Palliative Care Service of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. TSI is a New York based non-profit organization which has been providing charity work for many years. Palliative care is defined as relieving pain or alleviating problems without addressing the underlying cause.
The palliative care project is a relatively new service which offers care for those nearing the end of life. This type of care is new to many of the medical practitioners and the facilities in Bangladesh so that the doctors and nurses are not properly trained on how to implement the care. The purpose of the funding is to train area doctors and medical facilities on the best way to provide services. Funding is being made available to hospitals to begin providing the service to patients.
Under the program implemented by Touching Souls International, the care of patients will begin in the hospital or facility where they are currently located. The organization will then help to provide funds to the hospital in order to expand the operation of their palliative care facility.
In the larger sense, the mission of TSI is to offer support, services and assistance in health, education and environment. The recipients of the charity organization’s work are economically and physically disadvantaged people of third world nations. Active projects include cleft-lip surgery camps, sight restoration and blindness prevention projects, artificial limb project and school funding and scholarships for meritorious students.
There are fellowships for journalists who do research work on the environment and financial support for orphans. Funding for the poorest people to begin small scale business is another project base.
