In 2018, Showme Entertainment was established in China as a world-class content producer. Founder Li Chi, with the mind of an entrepreneur, presented his understanding of performing arts at a brand new stage.

Winding life

In his early years, Li graduated from Beijing Dance Academy. As a dancer, he was once awarded with “Wenhua Prize”, the highest honor set up by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China. However, the stage has also been cruel to him. At the age of 27, when Li was right in a golden period of his dancing career, he was forced to leave the stage and to turn to the backstage due to hurts and pains. Since then he started to learn about directing and team management.

Facing a totally new field, Li devoted himself into studying and managing the show, from choreography, staging, casting and lighting to performance control. In 2010, his large circus works, which he created as general director, among which is Magic Legend, which has been performed more than 5000 times as of now, and the number of audiences has exceeded 40 million, miraculously topping the box offices of Chinese theatrical performances for consecutive ten years.

On his road towards the international stages, he has won the Gold Prize of the 24th Paris “Tomorrow” International Circus Festival in France, and the Gold Prize of the 4th Budapest International Circus Festival in Hungary. He also attended four international circus festivals as a jury, namely, Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival, Izevsk International Circus Festival of Russia, Gold Elephant Girona International Circus Festival and Russian Idol International Circus Festival. All these have made him famous internationally in the field of entertainment.

Looking into the future

In content oriented era, after ten years gestation Li Chi established Showme Entertainment in 2018. In terms of performing arts, China has seen many traditionally distinct forms such as Meet Pingyao Again. To people’s expectation, Li Chi looks more forward to gathering resources of performing arts from all over the world to create art contents that meet Chinese tastes with international visual enjoyment.

In order to perfect the audiences` experience of performing arts, Li integrated top resources at home and abroad, gathering famous artists from Russia and Canada. However, this is just a beginning. It is out of the acknowledgement of Li Chi’s perseverance in creating world-class original contents, the artists are attracted to Showme Entertainment. They come together to accomplish the idea and pursue of “Performing Arts in All Dimensions, Happiness Everywhere”.

No matter with platforms of catering and tourism, or with others etc., Showme will integrate its great IP and strategically cooperative international resources, adding Chinese cultures to them and thus, generating more art works for multiple groups such as tourists, families and children.

As for the future, Li Chi hopes to make known to the world Chinese own cultural-touring brand, to clear up symbols of traditional Chinese cultures and to show the power of them while bringing happiness to different dimensions and to everyone.
