Snapdock: The Snapping Docking Station for iPhone and iPad
Biel Bienne, Switzerland – On September 23 2015, Patrick Meyer launched a Kickstarter campaign for Snapdock, a docking station with the snapping mechanism made for iPhone 5/6/6s/6+/6s+, iPad Air 2/Mini 2 & 4.
“As soon as the iPhone 6 and 6+ were in everyone’s hands we noticed that so many people protected their new iPhone either with the original leather or the silicon case from Apple,” the creator explains, “Based on this thought, the idea of Snapdock was born. Not only is Snapdock the only docking station that has an insert especially made for these types of cases but it further allows you to switch between different inserts to suit your iPhone in any case.”
Snapdock consists of two main parts which can be snapped in the middle, where the lightning cable is located. As a result, the Snapdock can be separated into its two halves, allowing you to very easily put it together or take out your lightning cable from the docking station within seconds!
For this Kickstarter campaign Snapdock will be available in 12 colors: black, white, red, blue, green, orange, yellow, brown, purple, gold, silver grey, and dusty grey. You can even combine two or three colors to create a personal Snapdock with your favorite look!
“An important goal to be accomplished was to offer an affordable docking station that would be heavy enough to even carry an iPad,” said Meyer, “Last but not least, to ensure a comfortable feeling in your hands and to give it a neutral and modern look, the Snapdock has been designed with a matte surface. The result is a beautiful docking station at an unbeatable price!”
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including one black or white Snapdock together with a mfi-certified lightning cable for as little as Fr 34, one Snapdock (color or color-combination) with a mfi-certified lightning cable for the early bird price of Fr 39 and more. Backers can also pledge Fr 74 for two Snapdocks (one in black or white and one in color or color-combination) with two mfi-certified lightning cables.
