Specialist Auto Injury Pain Clinic Now Available in Glendale Arizona

November 21, 2019 – – Unity Physician Services has announced new specialist chiropractic services at their dedicated auto injury pain clinic in Glendale. The idea is to assist those looking for help with accident-related injury pain through holistic treatment.

Although they have been offering chiropractic services in the area for some time, a decision was recently made to specifically address the concerns and problems faced by vehicle accident victims.

Many people are aware that being in an automobile accident can not only cause injuries but can also bring about recurrent and sometimes severe pain. This is not always immediately obvious and even when the victim seems to “walk away without a scratch,” it is not always the end of the story.

Weeks or even months after the accident recurrent pain can be a commonly encountered problem. Pain medication can help in the short term but in this modern age many people are hesitant to use strong medication-based treatments for anything but short-term relief. No one wants to run the associated dangers of opioid use. As a result, people are looking for an alternative like Unity.

Dr. Thomas Morgan, of Unity Physician Services, said, “When someone is in an accident, their body will release defensive hormones such as adrenaline and these act as natural pain-killers. This is why the physical damage caused by an accident very often doesn’t cause symptoms until hours, days, or even weeks later.” He continued, “Our new auto injury pain clinic with its specialist chiropractic care and holistic approach can help relieve that pain in a lot of instances.”

“I did not want to take opioids to cure my pain so I was looking for an alternative,” said Maura Thompson, a chiropractic patient originally from Tempe, Arizona, who survived an auto accident in 2018. “I have had chiropractic adjustments and TENS unit (Transcutaneous Nerve Stimulation) treatments since enrolling in the new clinic. I was very surprised at just how quickly I felt better.” She continued, “A lot of people don’t even realize that there is a car accident chiropractor in Avondale.”

The nationwide opioid crisis has brought attention on a never before seen level to the fact that responsible pain management is a crucial part of society. The once casual “just take a pill,” attitude has diminished significantly and is no longer the way that most people think. According to the CDC, in 2017 alone, more than 47,500 people died in opioid-related overdoses in the USA.

At one time, neck and back pain were the only things that people generally sought chiropractic adjustments for. When chiropractic adjustments are shown in movies and on television, the treatments are typically made to look forceful or even painful.

When asked about this, Dr. Morgan chuckled, “Although a forceful adjustment may sometimes be required it certainly doesn’t occur as frequently as shown on TV. As professionals, we do not believe in such a heavy-handed approach from the word go.” He continued, “We give full consideration to the needs of every single patient. Pain medication sometimes has to be considered and it does have its place in some treatment regimens, but here at Unity Accident Injury (also known as Unity Physician Services), we have alternative chiropractic and holistic treatments that very often can completely negate the need for drugs.”

The pain and discomfort resulting from car accidents is all too common for most victims. Often symptoms experienced at a later stage are not always associated by the sufferer as being related to the accident. Numbness and tingling, for example, occurring weeks after the event can actually be caused by the event itself. The same can be said for headaches and back pain or any other aches and pains that arise. Early and correct diagnosis by a clinic such as Unity can make a world of difference.

Unity Accident Injury’s new chiropractic and holistic system for pain treatment that victims of vehicle accidents subsequently experience, focuses less on the symptoms of the pain itself, and more on restoring and maintaining a healthy body.
