Blind taste tests consistency demonstrate that most people cannot tell the difference between bottled water and tap water, according to a recent article on the Medical News Today website .
In one study published in the Journal of Sensory Studies, only 36 percent of the participants were able to distinguish between bottled water and tap water when the tap water was free of chlorine. The article added that an option for improving the taste of tap water is using a filter.
