Super Bowl 50: 5 Ways to Get to the Game

The big game is a week and a half away…are you ready? Maybe you have your tickets to the game itself in hand. You probably have hotel reservations – maybe you’ve even reserved a car, a table at one of the area restaurants. Maybe you’re attending some of the additional events during the week leading up to Super Bowl 50.

But have you thought about how you’ll get to the stadium itself? The stadium seats approximately 68,500 people… that’s a lot of traffic! The good news is that you have choices for how you’ll get to the game, and with a little advanced planning, you’ll make it well before kickoff.

Private Vehicle

Whether you’re driving your own car or a rental, driving a private vehicle means you’re going to want to get a Super Bowl parking pass. It’s not just the sheer volume of spectators, but ticket-holders can expect security measures to factor into the time it takes to park and get into the stadium.

How nice would it be to arrive at the game without having to worry about where you’ll park your car?

Parking lots will open at nine in the morning on February 7, 2016 (Gameday).

Fan Express

For those who want to ride in the lap of luxury, the Fan Express has several pick-up and drop-off locations. The Fan Express will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm to accommodate spectators throughout the day.

Trains

If you don’t plan to rent a car and don’t want to take the Fan Express, trains are another option to get you to the game. Some of them go directly to the stadium while others get you near enough that you could get there on foot or get to another transportation line. You have five trains to choose from:

Either way, make sure to check the train schedule(s) and stops in advance so that you can make sure not to miss a moment of Super Bowl 50.

Taxis

Taxis can be a convenient method of transportation to get to the game, because you can take them from just about anywhere in the city. They’ll drop off on Calle de Luna – which isn’t as close as some of the other transportation drop-offs or parking locations.

Uber

Uber, if you haven’t used it before, is like an on-demand taxi or car service. There will be a designated drop-off spot for Uber that will get you closer to the game than a taxi, but last-minute Uber rides might be difficult to come by.

Regardless of how you plan to get to Super Bowl 50, planning ahead can reduce stress, and get you to the game on time.
