MinMor Industries, LLC and President, Mark Miner, are pleased to announce that OlymPak Printing and Packaging has once again produced this year’s Super Bowl program cover. The eye-catching cover incorporates the new U.S. Bank stadium and a 3-D Lombardi Trophy. The appearance was possible thanks to their specialized print capabilities.
OlymPak Printing and Packaging, a Minnesota-based company, was again awarded the honor of printing the Super Bowl program cover for this year’s biggest NFL football game. OlymPak, headquartered in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, has its printing facility located in Mora, Minnesota—approximately 60 miles north of the Twin Cities.
OlymPak is known nationally for its high-quality products and ability to print on unique materials. OlymPak partnered with Hazen Paper Company, the world’s largest fully-integrated specialty paper converter, to print the cover on Hazen’s custom holographic Envirofoil paper. The result made the Lombardi Trophy look three-dimensional.
Due to the tight deadline between the last playoff game and the Super Bowl, the printing process started immediately after the final two teams were determined on the evening of Sunday, January 22nd. While the fans of the two conference champions were celebrating into the early morning hours, the OlymPak team was hard at work initiating the printing process. The finished holographic covers shipped out that same morning to be combined with the internal program pages.
Owners Mark and Kim Miner are honored to be a part of the excitement of the Super Bowl and are incredibly proud of their talented OlymPak team. “It took a lot of preparation and precision to print the covers to the NFL’s standards, and that’s what we’re known for,” says Mark Miner.
OlymPak is part of a larger family of companies known as MinMor Industries, LLC. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, MinMor Industries is comprised of six unique divisions, including the recognizable local company, Mello Smello, the originator of the iconic Scratch & Smell stickers. The majority of MinMor’s products and innovative packaging are proudly designed and manufactured in Minnesota and are distributed nationally.
Additionally, MinMor provides educational health and nutrition-themed programs and grab-and-go meals to over 20,000 schools throughout the country via their Mission Nutrition and Notables divisions. “We are a committed partner to schools that are dedicated to child nutrition and wellness,” says Kim Miner.
Hazen Paper Company has been producing their custom holographic paper for Super Bowl program covers for the last 15 years. Hazen designs, holographically embosses, and metallizes the sheets to precise registration tolerances entirely in-house. Hazen’s proprietary technology allows for their custom holographic paper to be produced within the very narrow window required by Hazen’s customer, publishing company HO Zimman, and the NFL.
