Pune , India – June 11, 2019 /MarketersMedia/

Aircraft synthetic vision system (SVS) present a computer-generated view to the pilot in the cockpit by combining the database, position sensor, computing platform, and a display. Thus, it helps to increase situational awareness, providing a natural & intuitive view of the external environment, even in low-visibility conditions during night time. The systems increase the operational capability of the aircraft at various weather conditions and reduce the chances of accidents.

As operators see the benefit of SVS, they are demanding for the same, and the demand for synthetic vision systems has grown gradually. Also, as regulatory authorities mandate increases the adoption of synthetic vision systems, airports too have exclusive approaches approved for SVS operators, allowing improved low-visibility capability, while avoiding a huge amount of airport expansion work.

As a result, the aircraft synthetic vision system is growing rapidly. Business aircraft are at the forefront of the adoption of this technology. Moreover, factors such as the increasing emphasis placed on flight safety and the advancement made in pilot assistance technologies escalate the market on the global platform.

Acknowledging the enormous growth that the market is witnessing currently, Market Research Future (MRFR) in recently published study analysis asserts that the global aircraft synthetic vision system market is poised to witness colossal growth, registering a staggering CAGR throughout the forecast period (2018-2023).

Rapid advancements in SVS technology and regulatory changes could make these systems more common in cockpits. Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and avionics suppliers are increasing the availability of SVSs and their functionality.

Huge awareness towards the safety features that synthetic vision system can offer in increasing the survivability of fighter pilots, proving incredibly important in almost every recent war, is a key driving force behind the growth of the market. Advancements in technology led by the increasing demand for safety technologies are some of the major tailwinds pushing up the growth of the market.

Not having a synthetic vision system as part of a flight has tremendous safety implications. However, from the technology side, there is a need to go toward lighter, smaller, affordable systems. These improvements would make SVS more adaptable for installation on more than one aircraft type.

Brazil’s Civil Aviation Authority (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil – ANAC) awarded the aircraft its type certificate.

The Praetor 600 features latest Pro Line Fusion flight deck with vertical weather display, predictive wind shear radar capability, a Synthetic Vision Guidance System (SVGS), and other advanced systems such as E2VS with HUD, EVS, and IRS.

Global Synthetic Vision System Market – Segmentations

For an easy grasp, the market is segmented into four key dynamics;

By Display System : Navigation Display, Primary Flight Display, and Head-Up & Helmet Mounted Display among other display systems.

By Aircraft Type : Rotary-wing Aircraft and Fixed-wing Aircraft.
By Application : Civil Aviation and Military Aviation.
By Regions : North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Rest-of-the-World (RoW).

Global Aircraft Synthetic Vision System Market – Regional Analysis

North America, heading with the presence of large OEMs and augmenting demand for private and commercial jets in the region, would retain its dominance over the global aircraft synthetic vision system market throughout the forecast period. OEMs and avionics suppliers in North America offer the retrofit option for the synthetic vision system, increasing the availability of HUDs and their functionality.

North America is already a huge aviation market with a number of operational aircraft, business jets or commercial aircraft, GA aircraft, helicopters, and UAVs. Moreover, the rise in demand for new aircraft and focus on ensuring aviation safety is a key driver for the growth of the regional market. The US is the pioneering market for synthetic vision system in terms of R&D and new product development.

The US has further adopted and encouraged the utilization of technologies such as synthetic vision system into the modern aircraft system such as controlled flight into terrain (CFIT), which helps to reduce the number of accidents.

Backed by the presence of organizations such as NASA, that has been involved in the research of synthetic vision system and some of the major providers of synthetic vision technologies, the US accounts for the major contributor to the growth of regional market.

Europe is fervent a market for synthetic vision system, which takes the second position owing to the augmented demand from the aviation sector. Some of the leading players such as UK-based EasyJet airline had participated in the program to incorporate volcanic ash cloud detector system data into the enhanced vision display in the cockpit, expecting to install the production version of this integrated system in its aircraft back in 2015.

Airbus had too partnered in the program with the plan to integrate such displays with the main avionics in the aircraft. Such developments are enabling European airlines to fly in low-visibility atmospheric conditions. Continuing with these growth trends, the region is expected to witness a spectacular growth during the review period.

Israel is one of the leading markets for aircraft synthetic vision system in the Middle Eastern region. One of the Israel-based company, Elbit Systems, in cooperation with the Norwegian company, Nicarnica Aviation, has been involved in R&D and product developments of the major synthetic vision system.

Whereas, the third largest market for enhanced vision systems, the Asia Pacific region is emerging as the fastest growing market, globally. Growing OEMs market in the region would contribute to the growth of the regional market during the forecast period.
