Business people looking to improve their communication and leadership skills can register to attend Gosford City Toastmasters 50th Anniversary dinner scheduled for 7pm Thursday 12th October 2017.

Gosford City Toastmasters are celebrating their 50th Anniversary, a formal dinner which will include:

Celebrating the achievements of the club over 50 years – The inaugural club of the Central Coast and its 50 years of achievements

Singing, entertainment and networking – A night filled with good food and fun

Humorous and entertaining speeches – Trademark speakers and their speeches

Full details on the event can be found on the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/351089632004734/.

When asked about the reasons behind creating this event, the president of the club, Frank Pellarini said:

“Once people make their first speech, and realise it’s not as bad as they thought, their confidence takes off like a rocket and they start seeing the fun and enjoyment of speaking!”

The club was formed to help members overcome the usual human reluctance to make speeches, get stuck into debates, and speak on their feet. And it has been doing this since 1967. That’s how long members have been sticking to the point, hitting the nail on the head, and, putting their best foot forward. It pioneered Toastmasters clubs in the Central Coast.

Members also learn how to run efficient meetings, speak impromptu and keep to time.

The club is part of Toastmasters International with over 350,000 members worldwide. Its mission is simple: to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

The club is particularly excited about its 50th Anniversary dinner, to be held at the West Gosford RSL at 7pm, Thursday 12th October.
